It's been a rough day. My lack of sleep during the work week has had me dozing all day. Finally giving up and going to bed. I've got to do something about the sleep!  It's gonna get me down again. This crazy weather's not helping things either. Use the electric blanket at the first of the week and turn on the air conditioner at the end.  Tomorrow's laundry day, so I'll be up at 3AM. Gonna put the car in the shop. Gonna make sure the fan is fixed. We've got some cold weather coming up for Thanksgiving Day. Gonna be near freezing Thanksgiving night. And they're predicting rain. That could mean ice on my windshield when I get off Friday morning and I want that fan working so it won't be as dangerous driving as it was last year when I couldn't keep the it off and I turned onto a business' lawn. That was really scarey!  On the good side, my foot's not hurting and I'm learning to walk again. It's a nice feeling.  Maybe, while the car's being fixed, I'll go out to the shed and clear out all the Christmas decorations and throw them away. I have no use for them. There's never been any place for a tree in this house, and I just can't get into the spirit to put up any outside lights. When I first moved here after my mom died, I put up the outside lights im memory of her, but that was a futile attempt of continuing a tradition at her house when I put up all her decorations. The tradition died with her. With no one here to celebrate with me, I try to stay away from all the Christmas frills. Don't even want to listen to Christmas music. It brings back too many memories. Memories I can't afford to have unless I want to kill myself.  I do love Christmas. It's been my favorite time of the year, but being alone on Christmas is rough. And this Christmas, if my schedule stays the same, I'll be off. That will really be hard to handle!  I've worked most Christmases, so it's been easier. I'm not looking forward to this one if I'm at home!

Hi sweety, I feel the same way, only for me x-mas died with my dad in 1987. I will be here for you on Christmas and maybe we can chat by messages and your other friends like tomcat above, may be here as well. Maybe it will help you get through the emotions that always come with this time of year.
I hope you have gotten your car fixed by now or will have it ready when you need it. I don\'t want anything to happen to you my friend, as I really do care about you and we need you here on DS so plz take care of YOU, okay? Glad that at least your foot is not hurting and your able to walk again, I\'m sure that helps some, esp. with your blood sugars. You take care dear friend, hugs, Denise
