I'ts been  a busy day.  Been up since 3 this morning.  Had to do laundry.  My favorite thing?  Got there around 5:15.  Back home before 7.  Had a respit before I went on some errands.  Changed the bed.  We've finally gotten some cool weather down here and I'd been using 3 blankets at night.  Figured, "Why not put the electric on the bed instead of using the blankets?"  It's the only heat I'll have in the bedroom during the winter months.  The only heat in the house is a wall furnace in the living room.  The electric blanket felt awfull nice around this time last year when we had a couple of early really cold spells.  They came at just the right time.  Right after my gas was cut off because I couldn't pay the bill.  Only 2 months behind.  The only heat I had was the electric blanket and an electric space heater.  Wore a lot of clothes when I got home from work.  Normally, during the winter, I put on a pair of sweat pants and a tee-shirt.  But, during that time, it was two pairs of pants, a tee-shirt, sweat shirt, and heavy wool thermal socks.  The little heater went everywhere with me. That little heater, usually kept my computer room semi warm when I was in it.  Since my cooking stove is gas, I cooked on a hot plate and in the microwave oven.  Heated water to take sponge baths so I could keep clean.  Anyway the electric blanket is on the bed for the duration.  Then I started my errands a little after 9.  First stop was Hastings for some movies.  Since my cable was cut off about the same time my gas was, I haven't watched TV.  Gotta call them to find out how much it's gonna cost me to get it turned back on.  Next stop was a men's clothing store to drop off a pair of jeans to have the legs shortened about an inch.  When you're shaped like me, the legs are always too long.  Last stop was Walmart.  Had to get a new space heater.  The old one went just about at the end of winter.  While there, I checked out the towels.  I'd been thinking about replacing all of them for a while.  They were so bad that about a year ago, my little sister brought me some of her old towels after she replaced them.  Didn't use them much because they were so thick, it cost twice as much to wash and dry them.  Found some at Walmart this morning and bought them.  They're pretty, but not as thick as the hand-me-downs.  Got home.  Put a chicken in the oven and decided to take a break and watch one of the movies I'd rented.  All this led to a problem this afternoon.  I realized how out of shape I am.  I'm getting DSL.  The $14.95 basic AT&T has been advertising.  I got the equipment for it last week.  Get on the computer.  Put the installation disc in and started the installation.  With this system, you have to put filters on all your phone lines.  For me, this is no small chore.  Two of my outlets are behind stuff.  Which means moving stuff.  And in my computer room, this is major.  My computer room is not just for my computer.  It's a combination, computer room, storage room and exercise room.  In this small room, is a chest of drawers where I store my towels and bed linen.  Then there is a student study desk which holds all kinds of paper, envelopes, and other stuff that I'll never use,k but think I will.  Under it are bags of grass seed, an ice cream freezer, tool box, and a big 100 pound Crisco barrel I got while working for Dairy Queen.  It's been painted an antique green and hold a drill, phones I don't use and phone cords and I'm not sure what else. Because the chest and desk can't be together, there's a larger corner space.  I use that for all my computer boxes and fishing tackle boxes.  Quite handy.  It is. Next to the desk is my computer desk  Next to it, wedged in the corner, is the console radio that I listened when I was a kid.  It's more than 60 years old and I thought I'd get it fixed up and play the 78rpm records from my childhood. Never got it fixed and there's no place to put it even if it was.  Next to it, to my left is a tall bookcase.  A god send for my files, computer books, cassette tapes, CD's, and pages of my book.  Directly behind me is a weight set and next to it, by the door is a treadmill.  Both are gathering dust.  I tell you all this because I had to move the desk and stoop down to plug the filter into the phone jack.  I couldn't get it in right away and the bending of my legs almost killed me.  The same thing happened in the living room.  Had to move furniture and stoop.  My God the pain!!  I want my legs back.  The bouts of MRSA took a lot out of them and the callous on my right foot has taken the rest.  I've got to get it fixed soon.  I want to walk again without looking like an old man and without hurting with every step.  I'm tired tonight and I'vde got more to do before I got to bed.  And to top it all off, I can't install the DSL until my service starts on Thursday!  Oh well!

That was quite an adventure you had, my friend. I feel every twinge you do, and i didn\'t even do anything! ;-) I have a whole days worth of laundry and housework ahead of me today, so i\'m trying to get my mind set going, but so far it\'s not working, lol. Take care, my friend, you\'ve been through a lot, and i don\'t want you doing too much at once. Hugs and kisses, Deb :0)
