New Job

Dear DS Sisters,

I didn’t want to say anything until it was for sure, but I found a new job.  I feel like a jinxed myself so many times, by talking to soon about jobs I applied for.  This is one I am more suited for than any of the little jobs I have had over the past year.  It working as an assistant to a sales counselor for a new home builder, I do have a background in Real Estate.  It is probably more hours than I wanted to work, but I will deal with it cause the money is good.  It is 34 hours a week.  Almost full time, and also working weekends.  There is an hourly plus a bonus on all the houses I help him with, which will be all.  I may have to give up my SS, because I will be making more money than they allow you to make, which will be fine as long as I can make enough to equal what I would make taking SS and a part-time job if you get my drift.  I will be situated in a beautiful model home.  I will be working Weds and Thurs, by myself as these are his days off, then with him on Sat and Sun.  One draw back is that this area will be built out in a year.  Than then find you a new location to work.  Which will be fine as long as it is within a reasonable distance.  I will worry about that next year.

I will have to go through my closet to see what I have to wear.  All my “business professional” clothes are from B/C (before cancer) and from some years before that.  Aside from maybe not being so stylish they are all so tight on my due to the fact that I have gained twenty pounds since the end of chemo.  I may have to pick up a few things, like maybe a black skirt   I really need to lose weight.  I hate being this fat.  I am having a hard time controlling my appetite.

Physically I feel really good.  My last test results were very good.  I am now going every six months for my check ups, however I am never really complacent about my remission. I thank God every day and pray that it lasts a very long time. Last time she wanted me to go for a mammogram and a bone density test.  Mammogram came out fine and I just went yesterday for the bone density test.  I am not worried about that.  Next week I have an appointment with the GP.  I had a blood test last week for this event.  I am diabetic, plus I have a thyroid condition and I need my prescriptions renewed.

To all my sisters that are still struggling with this insidious disease, my heart goes out to you and I am hear for you for strength and support.   I love you all.

Love and hugs,

Anita
