Hello Everyone   As most of you know I had my CT scan done today.  It went well.  My appt was at 7:00 and I got home at 10:15 which was not too bad for LBJ.  I don’t know when I will get the results.  I probably will get the results at the same time with the CA 125.  My daughter went to see her gyn the other day and he asked her if I had a BRCA done, because if I were positive he would have to have her tested.  She is 36 and never has had children.  She has been on birth control for many, many years which may be her saving grace.  I have read that birth control protects you from OC.  As far as the genetics, my Mother died from colon cancer at the age of 54.  I have also read that there could be a genetic connection with OC.  I will have to see if my Dr. will do it for me.  I know that it is very expensive and I don’t know that the county system I am in will approve.  I know that some ins. Companies will not cover it.  So I will have to see.  Also you know that I have been trying to be some sort of advocate with no luck.  So I decided to post something in the Health Care Reform discussion group.  I figured if people are on there maybe that need some help.  So far I have one taker.  She lost her job and has no insurance.  So I am so pleased to try to help her.  I will be going up Thursday to baby-sit Christian again while Sara goes and does something fun for herself.  I will have to give him a big hug and kiss after his ordeal with his first hair cut.
