Here it is two days after Christmas and I finaly feel like writing. Christmas was great. Had dinner at my son and daughter-in-law's. Had Ham and fried turkey and all the trimmings. Yes I said fried turkey. For those of you who are unfamilier, it is very popular here in Texas. First you inject it with seasening the night before. We had Cajun. There is a special deep fryer that you use. The turkey goes in vertically with a special scewer. You use peanut oil to fry it in. It only takes about 45 mins. It is delicious. The best thing about the day was watching my grandson with all his new toys. I think he was a little overwhelmed. My son's living room looked like Toys R Us. He is the first grandchild on both sides. He is such a joy.Physically I am feeling pretty good. The effects of last weeks chemo are wearing off. I was even able to do a little cleaning this morning. Did not get carried away however. lolEmotionallly i am doing better also. I found out from a lawyer that my company is within their rights to let me go, since they are not using my illness as an excuse. If it was because of my illnes, they would be in violation of the "Americans with Disabilites Act". But they are saying it is because of lack of business. The lawyer says I should not have any problem collecting unemployment. So I will do that until I feel strong enough to go out and start poinding the pavement.Till next time, love to you allAnita
