not a very good day.had to do a DNR for my mother today. said goodbye and whispered in her ear that it was ok if she went to sleep. all would be fine. 5 hours now and organs are starting to fail. she wanted 1 more christmas, at least she was given that. i know my father has been waiting along time to have her back with him. just dosn't get any easier

I am so sorry that you are going through this now. It is a rite of passage of adulthood for most of us. I hope I can be well enough to be here for you in your grief. This situation is the one I most dread. She is my only parent and I am her only child. I can\'t imagine holding it together. Please try not to get overwhelmed and do the most important thing first. And always take care of you. I love you.
