update

Well, my grandmother has gotten a lot worse. She has a sore on her coxis and it seemed to be healing up, but now it is turning green and it has the worst smell ever. When I change the patch on it, I have to put a towel over my mouth to keep from gagging. We tried giving her antibiotics for it, but she can barely drink anymore and she sleeps pretty much all day. I really don't think that she will even make it to Thanksgiving. Dad asked me if I thought that we should take her to the hospice house for her final days. I don't know if that would be a good idea or not because my grandpa really wants her at home. I guess it will depend on if it gets to a point where I can't handle it anymore.
On a lighter note, I have been able to get out on the weekends some, so that has helped with the stress and everything a lot. We got a voucher from the Alheimer's association for 30 hours of care. Its not much, but it is certainly better than nothing.
