So this has been the longest time that I have spent away from DS. I think Im going into withdrawl! So much has happend and I feel the need to update my friends... I have not abandoned you life has just called me away for a bit. First of all strange day I started my period today and I am five days early... early? or early miscarriage? Ill never know but I have a feeling... all testing is negitive but really too soon to tell anyway. :(Besides that my husband has been through a horrific experience. My DH is a electrical worker in large sub stations. These are the big towers that you see along side the road... very high voltage. Monday afternoon my husband was up in a bucket ( man lift) working on some grounds and up there with him was Chuck Campbell. Chuck and Scott have worked together on the same crew for over a year. Chuck is 42 with a wife and a 15 yr old boy. He is a sweet man who loves to tease my husband and give him advice on marriage. As the were working there was static build up in the lines. This is really bad on cold dry days. You will notice that youre shocked more easily on these days by people or tvs even car doors. Scott said he saw something blue and looked around and saw nothing. Then he saw it again and turned and Chuck had been shocked. The static build up had created an arch and jumped from the line to Chuck. It entered his arm traveled through him and left out his back. My husband tried to administer cpr but it was not use Chuck was killed instantly.I am so sorry for Chuck and his family. I hate that it happend. It sickens me. I dont understand why or how. I pray for his family and that they can work throught there grief. However now my concern is my husband who is a very tender person and is now questioning every move he made worrying that he did something wrong. He lost his friend so quickly and there is nothing I can do but BE here for him.He is scared to go back to work, and I dont blame him. He never has to go back if he doesnt want to! Im just scared that this is going to change him... no I know this has changed him and I dont want him to have to live in fear. I love him so much and just wish I could let him know this is nothing that he could control.WE have been through so much in the past couple of months. Finding out we may not be able to have children, Scott getting very ill with the possiblility of Chohns, and now his dear friend dying in his arms... its just all too much.

Oh, your poor DH. I will keep you and Scott in my prayers, along with Chuck\'s family. What a horrible accident.
Oh my, what a horrible experience that must have been. I wish we understood why things like this happen...I think if we knew it would make it easier. I think you are an amazing lady and that being there for your husband and encouraging him no matter what his decssion about work may be is the the best thing you can do. I will keep you all in my prayers. May God Bless you and your husband and Chuck and his family during this horrible time!
What a terrible thing that your DH had to go through! I may have PTSD from it for a while. I\'m so sorry for his loss. You guys deserve a break.
i\'m so sad to read this. i\'ll be thinking of you both and chuck\'s family. with regards to the possible crohns - - are either of you familiar with an author by the name of jordan rubin? he is a young guy who was diagnosed with crohns and has recovered. maybe reading his books and hearing his story and how he overcame crohns would be an encouragement. hugs to you both - susan
