update

got of the phone with my parents. he got rid of the infection and had surgery on his back they keep him under for two days has he was in so much pain. yesterday they had him siting up in a chair for awaile. they told him about his leg being gone he acts like he understands and then he says strange things likely from all the medication. my brother had a fund raiser as it cost 2,000 dollars a month for a motel. my brother sold 100 dollar tickets for a change to win 100,000 dollars in fireworks he did that twice so the motel is taken care of for another month. he owes 1000 dollars this month on his constuction equipment loan and a 400 hundred dollar house payment so they don't lose their home and a way to make a living again when he is fully healed. my brother is trying to sell lots of cars so he can make a couple of payments on these things for his daughter and son in law. my allerigies are bad so thaw out hambuger and will eat that instead of going out to eat. keep on praying for them as he will need it he has a lot of more surgries and pain to go thou before he gets to go home.

I totally understand what your family is going through. My husband had a headon collision just weeks before my Nicholas was born. He was in a coma for over a week and he had cognitive brain damage. He was never the same again and I had to get help from many community agencies. There is a number you can call, 311. They can connect your nieces family with agencies that might be able to help... like, Meals on Wheels when her husband gets home and she is too busy caring for him (and kids???) to cook. Also can help financially (food). Sometimes you can get people to come in and help. Check it out for her.
Hope you had a nice day on Independance Day.
