Hi,
I am a 66 year old female and just diagnosed about 6 weeks ago with MG. I am Married to a great guy and have 2 wonderful daughters and 4 terrific grandchildren.
I would appreciate any information you would like to share with me about your MG. I am on Mestinon 60mg. 5 times a day and Mestinon time-release 180mg 2 times a day. It seems to be working pretty good. I still have trouble with my speech and breathing somtimes. I also get tired very easily. How long does it take to feel "normal" or do you ever feel normal again?? Is this a normal dose for MG.
My family has been very supportive, and for this I am very greatful!! As I said before I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
thanks,
Carole

Carole,
There are a number of people on line from Massachusetts and nearby and they have a real live support group. That is a great way to meet some really neat people I only know from DS and for your hubby to meet other spouses and people with MG, which is often helpful as well. If they don\'t speak up, holler on the main board.
There is a lot of information in the links group as well as the main board, I posted that today. If you are taking that much Mestinon and still having problems, It sounds like you will need an immunosuppressant in your near future. I hope you are being seen by a neuromuscular specialist, a number of our members go to St. Elizabeth\'s in Boston. Welcome and please feel free to post your specific questions, b.
