The wonderful thing about this site is we can take a break and when we return, we are still welcomed and our friends remain. I know exactly how you feel about your other kids. My other children think I\'m completely neurotic. They say \"I\'m the only mom who does this\", or \"the only mom who does that\". I\'ve always been a bit overprotective even before my son died but now it is a bit worse. I guess that\'s something we\'ll have to figure out in time. I hope you have a good time in Branson and enjoy the rest of the summer. Don\'t be a stranger, it was good to hear from you. Love Robin
So good to hear from you. In the midst of your sorrow it sounds like there have been some good things as well...trips and camping and grandson...sometimes those are the things that keep us going. I know that staying busy in this new life helps...take care of you...love and hugs...Karen
It\'s so good to hear from you again. This new life is one that isn\'t easy to adjust to. We may do things and go places, but it still just doesn\'t seem right some how. There\'s that part of ourselves that is missing. But, I congratulate you for taking those important steps. And, they are important not only for you but for the rest of your family. Enjoy the rest of your summer, honey. *Hug* Adrianne
This new life without our sons is so hard to get used to, sometimes it just feels like marking time. It sounds like you\'ve had some lighter moments though and I\'m pleased you\'ve had a relaxing summer. I read My \'Sister\'s Keeper\' before Frazer died, I\'m sure the movie would be very sad indeed. She writes incredible stories. I\'ve been sticking to lighter things like, \"My Life in Ruins\" these days! Our lives will never be the same again, the wound will never heal, but we can hold on to more and more of the good moments and breathe a little easier with each other\'s support. Love and hugs, Charlotte.

Sorry the comment came through twice!!!
It is understandable that you would now become somewhat overprotective of your other children after loosing your son. I guess there are things in life that we just can\'t control, such as the untimely death of a loved one. Sometimes you have to \"Let go and Let God.\" I suppose we learn from the death of loved ones, to learn to appreciate those who are in our lives now and let them know they are loved. Life is going to happen and we just can\'t control everything. But we can learn to appreciate what we have now and learn to enjoy the time we have know with our loved ones. A BIG HUG for you Vicki!:0)
