Today's my son's birthday. This means a living hell for me, today, because he is already acting like The King of World because it is his birthday. I'm going have to listen to him nag me and boss me around. He'll say stuff like, "It's my birthday, you have to do what I want!" My mom would get mad at me no matter what day it was. One time during a birthday party for me, my mom got mad at me and made me cry. Kids are too spoiled now-a-days.

Easy girl. Lighten up it\'s not that bad, really. He\'s just a kid. Don\'t take it all so serious. Teach him - help him learn to reword things. Let him know (without getting angry) that\'s not right...you should say blah, blah, blah... it\'s nicer and you will be liked more when you are nice. It\'s difficult being a parent. A huge responsibility. But you\'re up for the task....you\'re just feeling edgy today. Hope your son has a memorable birthday.
Let him know ... you do not HAVE to do what he wants. That you do nice things for him because you love him and you want to not because you have to. Sounds like your mom could have learned some parenting skils. Hang in there Jenn....things will get better. Rita
