thoughts....

I am thinking of skipping town and starting over somewhere else. My greatest fear is legal reprisals if I take the kids over state lines without his permission, and let's face it I can't get his permission even if I wanted him to know--the whole point is to hide out away from him. I've done some research and it IS possible to change your name and social security number in order to hide from a stalker or if your life is in danger, but the process of documentation is pretty serious and it takes some time. Also, how do you get a job, a house, and everything you will need if you never really existed prior to this day? What about the kids? I am legally their mother, not Jane Doe--what happens in that case? I think I'm going to call around and see what my options are and has anyone actually done this and succeeded at it?
