This was my second appointment with the neurologist. The medication he gave me a month ago has not help much. I had hoped that it would give me back some function of my left hand, but it hasn't. So this time he added a medicine to it. The most frustrating thing is that it is taken months to get a diagnosis. My symptoms started in March. My fingers kept freezing in place and I had a distinct weakness in my left hand and wrist. My primary physician sent me to have a nerve function study. The results were negative. My primary physician said he didn't see anything wrong with my but he sent me to an orthopedic surgeon anyway. I felt he did this just stop me from complaining about my symptoms. It definitely was not an orthopedic problem. The orthopedic physician then sent me to a neurologist. Of course neurologist then diagnosed with Parkinson's. I had an MRI and results showed changes in the white matter and the impression read this could be due to demyelination disorder. However, the neurologists seemed unconcerned about the demyelination. So as of right now I am worried the diagnosis could be wrong and this could be MS. The symptoms of MS and Parkinson's are somewhat similar.

Oh my... I don\'t know anything about MS... I would read up but unless there\'s any concern right now I don\'t want any more negative... I hope the two medicines will start helping. I\'ll be praying for you. Hugs Elissa
