a new years mystery. Dave and I have gotten close. Like friends close. Friends who kiss... lol. It disheartened him that I was not ready to make a committment. But he felt that the time we spent together warranted continuance, no matter what the outcome. I was thrilled. For someone to like me so much that no matter what I have to give, it is enough. Possibly a healthy relationship?I planned to take a holiday trip up to northern Michigan. Family and skiing. Dave and I spent the evening together on thurs, the 27th. We were going to spend time on friday, but his car had to go into the shop. He said hed be up for gettin together if I could come get him, but I wasnt feeling great and I had packing to do.  Saturday morning I left. I got a call from him at around 1 or2, asking where I was. I told him I was almost at my destination some 300 miles away. He was bummed... telling me he had just gotten his car outta the shop and was hoping to catch me to say goodbye. He kept telling me he missed me. It was good. He mentioned plans for the following weekend, after I got home. I told him I would be lookin forward to it. He called again later that nite. Midniteish... He had been drinking. It was a common occurance for him to call and tell me he missed me in an overemotional blitz. and thats what he did. told me all sorts of sweet things... But my phone kept cutting in and out, and i had to tell him I had to go. Next day, NY eve, I left him a message at 5, looking to see what his plans were. Cell went straight to voice mail. Drove home New Years Day, emailed him to tell him I was home and maybe he wanted to hang...? No responses. Called his other number, right to voicemail. Emails nothing. A week of messages. Emails. no response. While I understand, the dating world for people my age is a much less mature situation than it was when I was a teen. And for some reason people find it easier to just sneak out of a relationship than tell people, based on what I have heard. But its been months since we started seeing one another. And we both like each other... just in different places in our lives. I cannot figure out what went wrong. Where he is. I begged in my voicemail to him, to please just send something... even a "Screw You!" text message so I knew he was alive and to move on. Closure... Never needed it like this before. Divorce... Not so hard. It was years coming... a slow crawl to the eventual end. Here, I have hit a brick wall. And I can honestly say, had I known my lack of committment would have an adverse affect, any at all, I would have reconsidered. And again I cry. Any thoughts? Any at all. I feel lost without my friend. And have no way to find him.

Men are inconsiderate, and unthinking. What they may consider unimportant can really weigh heavily on a womans heart... i know it\'s screwy, but that\'s the way it happens. Unfortunatly, us women want men to think like us, and when they don\'t, we wonder why. Just hang in there girlfriend, he\'ll come around, and when he does, chew him out for leaving you hanging without a single word!!! ;0) Hugs and kisses, girlfriend, i hope you feel better. Deb :0)
