so here's a giggle for your reading pleasure. Not five minutes after I get off the phone with , David, a customer service rep for Domestications home fashions (I had to return some roman shades) I was about to walk out of the house and go to the post office to send them back and a thunderstorm came along. I knew it was coming. So did David. We talked about it as he fixed my order. He said "ugh... Thunderstorm" and I was all... "oh I love thunderstorms!!" Yeah... SO the wind was so feirce (I am at a high altitude) My kitchen windows bowed in and I had water pouring in the seams. I wiped up the puddles... While the storm died down... Good thing I didn't leave for the post office, eh. Went outside when it stopped rainingto try to better see what the heck my windows were doing... and my patio set was gone. Ya know. Glass top table... 6 chairs... grill. All gone. Nope not gone. relocated. I looked to my left and saw my wonderful neighbors fence blown in. The Grill did that. The chairs were scattered. Where is the table? It's not there. I walked around the corner and found it. between our two houses it looked like an ice storm. the glass was shattered. But first it ripped off a nice chunk of her siding and the frame of her window. Thankfully it didn't break the window... oy. I rang her bell. She was soaked thru. "did ya hear the boom?" "oh Yes," she said "I heard the boom." We assesed damages and she hugged me. She is a wonderful person. Unfortunatly for her she was outside when the storm began. She was babysitting down the street and walked home... argh. When it rains it pours. literally. arghSo a song seems dumb here. but...."Raindrops keep fallin on my head......" you can hum the rest to yourself.

That\'s so funny, lol, I lived in Louisiana for 12 years and have the same \"LOVE, HATE\" relationship with thunderstorms. They can be vicious and beautiful and soothing.

Sparky, that wasn\'t a thunderstorm, it was a monsoon! LOL! My daughter was supposed to be coming home from school at that time and I was really, really nervous. They always happen when the kids get out of school! Lightening everywhere. Luckily she had to stay late to make up a test.

Remember the one on Aug 23? That was my friend\'s birthday and I had taken her to the movies at Old Orchard. It was sunny and warm when we went in and I laughed and said \"And they predicted rain, They\'re always wrong, look, not a cloud in the sky!\" We went to see Hairspray. When we came out it was a little cloudy. But there were tree limbs on the ground, in Old Orchard. I drove my friend home and couldn\'t figure out what had happened. Flooded streets, trees all over the place. If felt like the twilight zone. We heard Nothing! My friend will NEVER forget her 53 birthday! Glad we all survived this one! It was very scary!

Oh that stinks... Yeah. Like I said, high elevation... I didn\'t know there was any flooding till I called boss in the morning... I asked where I was going to work and he muttered somthin about how would I get there? I didnt know what he was talking about till I got on the road. Oh the disasters. Behind his house there was literally a lake covering an intersection that woulda swallowed my car. I\'m down here with the corn too. It still smells like feet. The moldy mildewy corn feilds... bleck.
