Hey! I was at the Dr this morning for an important appointment. 3 months ago he said that maybe I should be going onto insulin. I asked if there was still room to increase my Glyburide and Metformine and allow me to try losing more weight and see what that would do. If I were majorly into high blood sugar I would have probably gone onto insulin at that time. Anyhow I have been working to lose weight and perhaps have lost an inch around my waist. My blood sugar has also come down according to the A1C test I think he said it was down from 7.6 to 6.7 or something like that, but there was no talk of me going onto insulin. My blood glucose meter also reflects it though I sure would like the numbers lower. So still I am working on losing more weight. I want to get back to what I was two years ago and head to weighing less yet and being more active yet. So, no insulin! Perhaps it is in my future. I hope that in 3 months things will still be okay and 3 months after that. Before today I did hope to at least make it to my half century before I might have to start taking insulin. Now I feel things are brighter and perhaps some day... but if I can lose weight and get in shape. Then perhaps I might go to 72 before taking insulin like my Father who is of normal weight.Anyhow that is the good news for me.No Insulin! And I got out and I plan on going out tomorrow night so that will make twice this week! Take Care,~ Darrell
