oops.gif Somehow my entire post got deleted. I must be tired. So once more...smash.gif

pg_721061383.jpg Hi!

I thought I would make a short journal entry today. Partly because it has been a while since my last one. Today... or yesterday for the purist was July 1st, Canada Day and we celebrated it at the museum by honouring the veterans of the wars. We had many displays and foreign dignitaries and even two military bands, not to mention military vehicles.

I couldn't make it in to the museum because of problems with swelling feet, but I heard it was a great success !2thumbsup.gif

BTW the picture shows the 1907 CPR station our Port Moody Station Museum is housed in. They moved the station from its location on the CPR mainline to city property so we could use it for a general museum. (it isn't a railroad museum and it isn't run by the city)

Anyway I should get some sleep. sleeping.gif Many people are taking Monday off since July 1st hit on a Sunday, but for me it is just Monday. Other than not being able to do banking and stuff.

 Take Care!

That is one of the prettiest pictures of the museum I have come across. :-) But I do live in a beautiful part of the world. Mind you, I just told a friend who was moving away that she could find beauty in any place that she moved if she looked for it. There is beauty in prairie fields as well as on mountain slopes.

My feet seem to be a bit better today. I did keep them up a fair amount yesterday and drank plenty of clear fluids. (not rum or vodka, silly, but water, green tea, black tea...)

I was happy to be able to put ads for the celebration on the museum web site and blog. :-) (Well... being on the board of directors I also had a hand on okaying the stuff that was done for the celebration, but it was planned by staff and volunteers.

(I am up early today, so I guess I am loquacious... that does mean talkative, right?)
