I added a picture of my 4 pet dragons. :-) Dracaena marginata. I got them in 1994 from my Sister and Bro-in-law as a housewarming gift. They have survived a lot of neglect and are still in their original pot...
I really want to get them a nice pot. Actually two pots. A nice oriental ceramic outer pot for looks and weight and an inner one that has the drainage holes and a platter for catching any over watering so I can make sure I haven't done so.
I want to go at least two sizes bigger for the pot. I want to go the size they need and then one bigger. Of course the ceramic outer pot has to be big enough for the pot to go inside.
Here in Greater Vancouver we have a very good chance to find neat oriental pots at reasonable prices. We used to even be able to get those great shipping pots for cheap. That was before interior designers discovered them.
Anyhow I need to get some good but clean soil for the job and the energy to do it. Of course I have no tools or anything. For now I think I will see about some slow release fertilizer. I always wonder about how the dragons would like coffee grounds or used tea leaves... This apartment isn't set up for composting really.

::::::::::hugs:::::::::glad to see the green on you! i cant imagine why they would object to composting at your appartment...lol. Hope your feeling better today and that you got plenty of rest to shake that cold of yours!
...well I think if they don\'t want me to dig a hole in the living room floor for a hot tub they won\'t want me digging one for composting... they didn\'t like the idea of the smoke hole in the ceiling either. That whole upstairs neighbours downstairs neighbours thing.
