Well I have written my part of my Appeal for Reconsideration on my Disability application and the Dr has written his part and my advocate is sending them in to the provincial government later this morning. I should hear the results of my appeal in 2 to 3 weeks.
It is now in their hands. I am so glad I got an advocate from the BC Coalition for Disabled Persons to help me. He really has helped me. In part it is my disabilities that make it hard for me to even apply in the first place.
I can handle waiting, I just can't handle being overwhelmed by trying to hit deadlines and getting the steps done even when I break then down into manageable chunks.
It is good not to be going it alone. It also is a bit embarrassing to talk about some of my problems with friends or relatives. A stranger is easier to deal with for some things.
