I was turned down for disability on the 8th having 20 business days to apply for reconsideration.
It took until the 16th before I could get the form from the ministry with their part filled out. We have snow and ice we don't normally have and my diabetic neuropathy in my feet make it difficult to navigate on uneven slippery surfaces. Since snow is so uncommon here nobody clears their walks!
Now I have 12 business days to complete the form and turn it in. It is difficult working through the disabilities I have including anxiety and depression. It is even hard to contact an advocate who might get the process done faster. I'll get it done. But for me to do one important thing, I must let others slide. Of course that does not include bills and rent. THEY get DONE!
It has taken me 10 years just to get the original application for disability filled out and turned in. What do you do when part of your disability is what makes it nearly impossible to get such paperwork done in the first place. If I could do it I wouldn't need to do it nearly so badly!

Yes, It doesn\'t quite make sense does it? Something is definitely wrong with this system. I\'ve heard that they turn everyone down at first also. Good luck. I\'m thinking of you.

Some people say it is a filter process, but It probably only filters out honest people who have self esteem problems on top of their other problems or delays their getting disability. I can see where I am a bit in denial and understated my problems. It is very hard for me to admit just how bad my problem is. It is so very embarrassing. Maybe not like bed wetting or incontinence, but in its way... I can\'t even mention it among strangers and it is a mental emotional issue rather than strictly physical.
