Yesterday
OMG yesterday. Man!
My right shoulder/collar was killing me, it hurt so bad. It felt like someone was stabbing me there with a sword, slowly. The pain was traveling down my right breast to the center of my chest, and the back of my neck, shoulder blade and upper back. All along the back of my neck and upper back was stiff and hurting. My upper right arm was even more sore than usual. The slightest movement of my right arm was excrutiating, and it was hard to move my neck or shift positions without pain. All of that made the pain in my lower back, left arm and hips seem like nothing.
I put a Lidoderm patch on my shoulder, but of course you know that takes time to begin to work. So I just lay in bed all day long, on a heating pad, just distracting myself with TV and browsing the net on my lappy. I glanced at my little cabinet by my bed a few times debating about taking a muscle relaxer and/or a hydrocodone. I didn't take any til about 8pm. I slept pretty good; didn't even need my melatonin or bedtime tea.
This morning I still have some pain in that shoulder, but I can move it without panting and moaning like a woman giving birth, though it is a little hard. I still feel a little off balance and disoriented, but I know that will ease up as the drugs I took wear off today. I sure hope that pain doesn't come back.
I also took my gabapentin last night, just one at 100mg. I have been taking them every night since Friday, instead of every other night. I notice they make me dizzy, which is really more dizzy than I usually am most days, but I am giving it a fair chance to work. I hope to feel some relief in the next few weeks, especially when I start taking two per night.
I see my rheumy on Thursday and I will let him know how it goes.
