I'm seriously thinking about changing my major now. My true love is in Art and if I switch then it's going to take me 2 extra years. I thought about working while in school and just taking 3 classes so I won't be overwhelmed. It's just that I was suppose to graduate this May and now a teacher is holding me back because he failed me in a class that I believe I shouldn't have. I will see the dean's assistant tommorrow. I felt that this teacher had something against me or doesn't like me for some reason. It's funny, but he was one of the reasons why I decided to go back to this freakin' school because I had him for a few classes in the past and thought he was really cool. He use to tell me I was one of his favorite students. He would tell me to visit him sometime in his office, but this semester, I was so busy and couldn't really make conversation with him. Around the middle of the semester is when he would act really cut-throat with me. A few friends of mine told me that there might be a chance that he was expecting "something" from me, which is why he's probably acting like this. The class he failed me in was a prerequisite to another class which I was suppose to take this Spring. And I really believe that I shouldn't have to take it over again!!!!! The things he says doesn't match what he has on his syllabus!! His teaching style is never clear cut. There's always a grey area. Anyhow, I sometimes feel that this might be a sign. To be completely honest, I really don't like the major I'm in. I really just picked it because I thought it would be easy and faster to finish. Plus I thought I'd like writing, but the more I write and analyze my writing, the more I HATE IT! Especially when someone else is analyzing it. Now that I've worked in the field and got a glimpse of what kind of work I'd be doing, it doesn't seem like something that I would passionately get into. Unlike art. I love designing and working with the web. When corrections need to be made in any of my artwork, I don't resent it like I do with my writing. Instead, I'm so willing to fix it. Plus, I've taken design classes before, and I enjoyed them very much. If I were to switch, it's going to take me longer to finish. But a friend of mine told me I shouldn't care as long as I'm enjoying what I love to do.
