I'm so pissed!! I'm in a class with these two other girls whom I really can't stand! I'm in this group project with the both of them and one of them really gets on my nerves! Everytime I try to explain something to her, she hardly ever understands what I'm trying to say to her or disagrees with what I think should be done. This girl btw, I think got on some of the other students' nerves in a previous class I had with her because she talks about UNESESSARY points that have to do with the lecture and she gets too damn detailed about the topics to the point where it sounds like she's not making sense!! Plus she gets bossy with comments like, "you're suppose to do this..." or "You need to..."Who the hell is she to be acting like that towards me? Like I don't know what I'm talking about!!It pisses me off like crazy!!!These girls don't even consider ANYTHING that I say to contribute to the project. It's like they only talk amongst themselves! I hate this..It's like, everythime I give my opinion on the topic of the project, they both disagree with me 90 percent of the time! So I just stay quiet so that I don't get into a fight with them, yet this anger just builds up inside of me. I don't know what to do!! I have to get a good grade in this class. Plus tomorrow, our teacher is going to give evaluations sheets out to each student on our opinion of each member of our group!I normally like group projects in class, but this is the first time I'm encountering people in my group whom I HARDLY click with when it comes to creating a project!! I really don't know what to do. I hope someone can help me! I'm stuck with this group for the next 6 weeks!!!!

As an instructor, I can understand your frustration because I often have students do group projects. I think that you have to be assertive without being aggressive. You might suggest that everyone bring their ideas on some particular aspect of the project to your next meeting and then take a vote on what will be most effective. This way, everyone gets heard, and everyone has a voice. Even if they don\'t agree with your ideas, you will have still been heard, and that\'s important in group projects. If she tells you what to do and you don\'t feel that that is where your strengths lie in this project, say, \"I don\'t think that I\'m the best person for that. How about I do _________, instead?\" Then explain why you would be more effective in doing that. I\'ve also found that the word \"effective\" often gets more results than \"better.\" Let me know how it works out.
Group projects sure are a pain, aren\'t they? Scarlett has some great ideas as an instructor. I hope you are able to work out your problems with the others in the group, especially since you need a good grade. Best of luck!!
