It's weird, but being single for almost six months is SO new to me! All my life (practically since I was 13) I've had a boyfriend. I'd say the longest time I've been single prior to these six months has been only 3. I'm gonna be 29 soon and I've practically had a significant other for 16 years! I feel as if I've kinda lost the chance to enjoy my youth, but I try not to think about and think to myself "hey, there's others as old as me or older who are loving life!"

I've talked to some people who have asked me about being in school and some people have kinda gave me sarcastic remarks such as "gosh, you're 29 and still in school for your undergrad degree?"

These comments (not online) I get from people make me feel down and uncomfortable! I try not to argue about it with these people, so I just tell them "it's never too late to go back to school"..

I just had a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life for several years...I worked as a pharmacy tech for nearly ten years (and taking classes here and there trying to figure out what major suited me), and realized that working as a pharm tech was not for me.

I just wished that those people who "put me down" concerning school would just vanish!

don\'t let people\'s stupid comments get you down. I think it is great that you are going to school to pursue a career you will enjoy. you are doing this for you and NO ONE else. And you are right, it is never to late to go to school. My gosh, i had people who were in their 50 and up in my college classes. You are never too old to learn:) So, don\'t listen to other people enjoy your choices to better yourself and enjoy Life!!!!

hugs darlin\'... I have dealt with the most insensitive, clueless idiots in the world... they don\'t have any clue what they are saying. I wish it didn\'t hurt us so much, but their words are merely trash in the wind. I have been more than traumatized by things that people have said, and I wish they would just shut the hell up! You are following YOUR life path, not theirs! If I think of something clever as a come back, I\'ll let you know. But hold in your heart the knowledge that your life is more important than their ideas of what your life should be.

Love ya girl!
