I'm so scared to be dependent on my new medication for panic attacks!...I don't wanna be hooked like some people I personally know. My cousin is hooked on so many prescription pills and he is the same age as me! I keep thinking that his "craziness" runs in the family and that might be one of the reasons why I get panic attacks now.

I noticed I started to get these attacks around October of last year, the time when I decided to decline my first acceptance to UH..I'm wondering if there's any connection. It made me real sad to know I wasn't going back then...but now, I have this second chance to go and I'm not letting it get away..I'll be vacationing there in 3 weeks!!!...I wanna see if I'll like it first, but I have a feeling I will tho...

Anyhow, these prescription pills make me sleepy all throughout the day and I only take one pill at bedtime. I'm scared I might get dependent on them or that if I miss a dose I might get crazy withdrawal symptoms like insomnia or that my panic attacks will get stronger!!...I hate pills..

Check with your Dr. regarding lowering the dosage to avoid the side effect, it takes about 3 weeks for medication to stablize within the body. Also ask your Dr. how you may be able to just use the medication to temporarily stablize you until you can eliminatte the use altogether. Surround yourself with positive influence, enhance things with regard to your Spirit and Mind, look to improve your relationship with God, your ultimate source of comfort and guidance. I posted a 5 part audio series on my journal that may be of help, the Lord Bless you!

I understand about the meds. My cousin is addicted to pain killers, but you just need to talk to your Doctor about side effects and the risks if you are concerned about being too dependent on them. A lower dose may be wise, but only your doctor knows what is best. If you have any concerns or questions, you should talk with the DR. Hope you feel better, hun. take care.

I\'m sorry the meds are messing with your system. Tell your doctor what\'s going on and the two of you can work out a lower dosage or different med. I know it sucks to be on medicine all of the time, but these types of meds are pretty easy to gradually wean off of. I hope it helps and you can get that part of your life back! It can definitely be linked to the UH thing, so hoping it will go away entirely once you get there!
Luv ya!
