Ryan was loving and wonderful husband and father.  True to his Irish nature he never backed down from a fight, laughed often, was full of himself and I loved ever fiber of him. My darling husband always had time for each of our six kids and they adored him.  Ryan was under a care of a Dr. who was suppose to check him every six months for liver cancer.  In November he gave Ryan a clean bill of health.  A weeks before Christmas Ryan came down with horrible pain and sickness.  We tried Dr. after Dr. but no one really looked at all of his symptoms.  They would just check item one and if it didn't fit there criteria they sent him over to a different Dr.  February 6th I refused to to Ryan home from the ER (again) until they admitted him to find out what was going on.  That night we got the news Liver cancer and a huge tumor going across both lobes of the liver.  The following week we got the news that it had spread to his spine and other areas of the body.  I lost Ryan the morning of March 11th.  We have family and friends around...but nothing seems to help the children and I get through this grief.  I am so mad at the Dr.s for not helping us sooner and so worried for our children.  The youngest is only 7.  I miss you honey.  I love you more than words can say.  You should have had more than 37 years..

Yesterday was rough. Alex got his acceptance letters for William and Mary and JMU. Instead of being happy we were missing you even more. You would be so proud of Alex.
