I am back

Hello guys and gals,
I am back on the boards, first time since February.
My best friend died 8 weeks ago after falling off a kitchen chair that had a broken back rest.
He was in hospital for weeks before his death, having become a quadriplegic he couldn't even wipe his own nose - etc.
It was a very difficult time, but I managed to steel myself to go and see him. He died only days later.
His funeral was last Friday. I didn't keep the emotions in as well as I had hoped.
Unfortunately I had someone in my life at the time that seemed to have capitalised on my vulnerability to try to move me from a 'friends with benefits' to a full on relationship.
Over the past 9 weeks I had kicked him out twice, but stupidly I took him back.
On Sunday night I felt the need to call the Ambulance to take myself off to Hospital psych ward for the night.
I suggest anyone who has a crisis that they feel is overwhelming them to call for help.
He is now gone from my life. I am getting back my individuality. The local Police liaison officer was instrumental in getting my keys to my car and unit back. Luckily I even got the 18 carat gold ring back that I had bought as a keep-sake when I was in Florence in 1991.
I took this fellow in (my age) because I FELT SORRY FOR HIM.
BIG mistake. My parents always told me... never do something for someone because you feel sorry for them... you will end up feeling sorry for yourself.
However, the sex was great. I am now fully functional - after being told for decade that I'm a dud in bed.
My stomach muscles are very tight and strong - after up to an hour and a half at a time thrusting etc.
Best exercise I'd ever had.
Now, I'm going to get a plant and tend to it, love it, talk to it. If it survives a year I will get a goldfish. If I am successful in keeping both the fish and the plant alive - after another year I might think about dating someone. Until then... I'll be keeping myself busy outside of the house helping others, and when I am at home alone, I'm sure I can keep myself busy. ;)
Cheers to you all.
I'm back. Very love wary. There truly are some absolute wack-jobs out there. I'm just so happy that I survived to tell the tail without hurting either him or me or both.
When I was in the waiting room at the Psych ward I got to speak with heaps of guys.
I am so very grateful to God that:
I don't drink alcohol anymore
I have never smoked
I have never taken drugs
I've never been in jail
My body is fully functional and lookin' goood! LOL
