Hiyas All! OMG I am alive! I apologize for not being here for all of you. Things have just been non stop since the conference and the business is heading into its busiest season. Despite being spread a little thin all of you have not been far from my thoughts and prayers. I am so blessed to have met each of you and am able to be a part of your lives and have you be a part of mine. I love all of you so much! I have so much to tell you…The conference for SKILLS USA (a program for high school kids) on Oct 26th was a blast! I was SO proud of myself. No panic attacks, no crying, no upset belly, no throwing up- nothing. As soon as I felt nervous I took a deep breath and told myself panic is just a trick of my mind. I went in with both guns-a-blazin’ and I came out a success! I sold out of everything and raised a crap load of money for the program. The kids were great! They all wanted to take their picture with me because I am and I quote “Mr B’s cool wife!” LOL At one point I had a huge group of kids surrounding my table and me. It felt so surreal but not in that bad I am panicking way. More like “omg I am not panicking! I am doing it!” At one point Husband (who organized the conference and is the director) came to me and said pack up at 1 o’clock and go home because I said initially I was going home at noon so I had a short goal to hit. I looked at him and said “I am not leaving until this table is totally sold out…now leave me be!” He looked surprised and then laughed. What is funny is I got some of his kids to make my banner for my table. At one point this guy in another booth came up to me with a sinister sparkle in his eye. He stood there reading the banner and pointed and said “I am not trying to be mean…” (I thought, yes you are) “but…you spelled candles wrong”…(the kids spelled it candels) Without missing a beat I said back to him, “That’s because THESE candles are French…they are CAN-DELLS” He blinked expecting me to be disappointed or hurt but I wasn’t. I then added, “The kids made my sign and I love it very much even if my candles are now french” He chuckled in such a way that indicated he didn’t like that he couldn’t get my goat. A guy from a both across from me came over and said, “I wanna buy some of those French “candells” ~laughing~ So all and all the conference went well and it boosted my confidence SO much. I still have a long ways to go, but I can feel myself coming back. On the school side with the last three tests my grade was going down. I got two C’s and ~gasp~ an F. I was almost hysterical when I got an F. However, I told one friend about my F and he instantly called up all my other friends and within a period of 10 minutes I had a support system around me and in place that saw me through my upset- which because of them lasted a mere 30 minutes. By the end of the hour I was back to positive thinking and several even offered to help me study. I am so blessed. This is the same support system of friends (which our lives have taken us from Ohio and spread us through out the country) that pulled me into chat room the evening before the conference and they arrange this thing where they were giving me a part of themselves…This is what they said word for word: “We talked behind your back and decided to do what we do best. I will give my warmth, Bill his wit, Pari her sense of calm and Meg will give Jackies Strength. We all love you and know you will be fine but at any time you feel cold call me. If you feel stupid call Bill. If you feel tense call Pari. If you feel weak call Meg. We all love you and we support you.”(Just so you know "Jackies Strength" is a Tori Amos song talking about Jackie Kennedy or Jackie O's unstoppable strength)Well you know when that was said to me I wept like a baby at their kindness for which I started to get dive bombed with hugs. I ended up printing that out on a piece of paper and I carry it with me. Several months ago I think most of you remember I actually broke down and asked for help. The first time I ever did in my entire life. Remember? And I contracted everyone I know to assist me- and I was going to let them…well this is the result. A network of wonderful, carrying and supportive people that I just adore. I would do anything for them and they would do anything for me. I love it. I have never had anything like this. Just like on here...I have all this wonderful and beautiful support and I can turn around and assist in return! Hmm…what else? Oh! Chess! ~laughing~ she has turned into my shadow. She goes where I go, “helps” me with chores and keeps me from sleeping in. ~laughing~ She was litteraly sent from the gods! I adore her so much. Having her as my side kick has really made me very happy despite her death breath WHICH is getting better. Ok enough yacking your eye balls off. I really so hope everyone is well! I will try to be on more and I do want to get caught up with your journals and the like so please give me time! And let me know how your doin! ~Bright Blessings~ReaPS I am hoping to post pics of the conference soon to please check back! :)
