"I know, I know where I am...I am right here, right here..." - Tori Amos  Today:I am so worried right now. I went to call my Grammie in Ohio as I always do on Saturdays. She picked up on half a ring. She knew it was me. I greeted her as I usually do. It was like a bad dream. Her voice was filled with so much confusion and pain. She said, “Oh thank God you called. I cant call anyone and I have….” She got upset and confused. I instantly spoke, “Grandma hang up I am calling Uncle Ron…” So she instantly hung up. I called Uncle Ron and Aunt Dee- Grammies primary care givers. Aunt Dee answered the phone and I said, “Hi Aunt Dee, its Rea…listen I called Grammie and I believe she has fallen or is hurt, she couldn’t dial out the phone…one of you needs to call her and possibly get her an ambulance…” Aunt Dee said “oooh…again?” like it was an inconvenience. THEN she started rambling on wanting to catch up. As in like Grammie is at her place, possibly has fallen and is hurt badly and we are going to sit there and catch up casually over a cup of coffee. I DON’T THINK SO! I actually had to interrupt her crap and remind her of why I called. She said “oh…ok…”So, I hung up from her and waited about 10 minutes and called Grammie to be sure they called her. She said they were on their way and they called and ambulance. I told Grammie to keep me informed. She said ok between her saying “don’t worry about this…I don’t want you to worry…” I am so effing mad at Aunt Dee. She used to be such a kind and sweet woman but then Uncle Ron had a massive heart attack and she turned into a full on out right spoiled bitch. She actually approached my Grammie one day and asked her not to have a funeral when she dies. Its not the money aspect because everyone knows my Grandma has her funeral bought and paid for not to mention planned so no one will have to go through all that. Oh, no Dee just didn’t want the inconvenience of having to attend. WTF is wrong with people?! Now when Grammie told me this…I was so mad, but Grammie took it lightly and said, “If she doesn’t wish to attend its no hair off my back…” I said “Exactly…and she is gonna miss out on one hellava irish wake!”  We both laughed at that. ~shaking her head~ just…the gull of people…how can you be so rude?! Evening:~sighs~ Still no word and I have tried calling her house just in case she maybe there as well as Uncle Ron and Aunt Dee. My friend Meg is calling up all the hospitals for me so I don’t have to fuss with finding the numbers down here to call up there. I feel so damn helpless. I hate this. I am angry, upset, worried out of my mind and yes I had a damn panic attack or two. Its bullshit…you don’t treat your elders like that and you certainly don’t keep family out of the loop. I swear to the effing Gods if I have to go to Ohio I am bring a Texas sized ass whoopin with me! Of course…after I know Grammie is ok. I hope everyone is well…~Bright Blessings~Rea
