"Hold the banner proudly for truth must set us free" - Loreena McKennit I got an email today from a colleague of my husbands (he is a teacher). She is the family science teacher at the High School and she was interested in some of my products I make for my small business. We have exchanged several emails so far and then she asked me personally if I would like to come in to her classroom in the spring as a guest speaker for a couple of days. I would be absolutely honored and I am very excited to be asked, but because of my anxiety and panic attacks I politely told her “It would be an honor however I will have to check my schedule and get back with you”. *sighs* Why can’t I be normal?!The thought of being able to teach what I love and what I am going to school for would be so much fun! However, the thought of having 26 faces staring at me counting on me to assist them in learning just puts me into a panic. My mind is already forming excuses and escape routes. *growls* stop it! *sighs* I think the conference I am volunteering to do will be do or die for me. No pressure or anything.I am really trying to look at it all as a positive thing. I am excited to do the conference. I am ecstatic to see all of my husbands kids again that he teaches. I am looking forward to getting out there and raising money for their cause through my donations of products from my business that they are selling. Plus this is a great time to talk to customers and get my businesses name out there. All and all this experience will benefit everyone. Why am I trying to be all crazy headed about it? I think I need ways to expose myself in a gradual manner to large crowds. If I feel safe with the people I am with I am usually fine, however, Dylan isn’t going to be at my side for either event. I need to buck up, get that chin up and figure out a way to get over this…because I have some wonderful opportunities here and I really don’t want to waste them. I managed to get a couple orders today which I will fill later. It’s funny because I finished up filling the orders I had and had already cleaned up when these few more came in. I also turned in my discussion essay today to my new professor. Now I am holding my breath because all discussions are open for everyone in the class to comment and discuss. I hate that because in a classroom setting I like to be the one that’s invisible. I hope everyone is well…~Bright Blessings~ReaInspirational Song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=siXe7bKt1q0I have been listening to this CD a lot especially this song. There is something about it that leaves me in a calm.
