“I’ll be the water wings that save you if you start drowning in an open tab when your judgment is on the brink. I’ll be the phonograph that play your favorite albums back as your lying there drifting off to sleep. ” – The Postal ServiceSo, a couple of days ago I went for a 45 minute walk and ended up “blowing a flat” as I call it. (This is anything that entails the shoe coming untied or foot ware falling off including socks if I am running around in socked feet I call “blowing a flat”.) Well, this time I ended up walking around, minding my own business when a sudden pain went through me. It turned out that I hadn’t pulled my ankle socks far enough and the shoe was rubbing the back of my ankle. I adjusted everything and limped myself home. Upon further examination I realized I had really messed myself up. I had rubbed a quarter sized area of skin off. Ugh! Thinking nothing of it I cleaned it up and did nothing more. Well, yesterday I grabbed Draco along with my Husband as well as our friend Kris and went to go for a walk only after I bandaged up my booboo. About 20 minutes into the walk I blew another flat and had to limp myself back in. My bandage had worked itself off exposing the booboo to the shoe rubbing against it. ouchies! So, when I got home Husband wanted to clean it out really good and put some liquid skin on it because I still had things to do and then later he wanted to treat it and bandage it up etc. He looked it over and said “oh wow it’s in a perfect heart shape” and Kris said “that’s because her boo boo hearts her” hahaWhen I got up this morning my booboo was hurting and bleeding but it was more of a watery blood. Blech. Dylan was busy at the moment so I cleaned it up really good and decided to try some of the Comfrey/St Johns Wart salve I made. So I slathered it with the salve and bandaged it. To my surprise it took the tenderness and the sting out right away. I will know if a few days of course as to how the salve managed but I am pretty confident that it will assist in a speedy recovery. All I know is tonight when I go for my walk I am SO bandaging everything up to the point I cant even feel my shoe! lol! I still haven’t heard from my grandma and I still cannot get a hold of anyone in Ohio. I suppose if something bad happened they would have called me…maybe. It’s just harsh being so far away in Texas and no one keeps me in the loop except Grammie. The last time something severe happened to her I didn’t find out until I got a hold of her and she told me herself. My family is rude like that plus they are bitter that I moved to Texas in 2002. Grammie is the only one that understands why I did it and my Aunt & Uncle are just now getting it through their thick skulls. Everyone else could care less. Everyone thinks I “ran away”. In a sense I did. I knew if I stayed in Ohio with all the BS, negativity etc. That I would die. I found an opportunity to go to school and become the person I was meant to be and everyone but Grammie is still bitter about it. WTF? Also my Aunt and Uncle hide behind the excuse of “we hate talking on the phone and we don’t like writing” so I never hear from them despite the fact I write them letters all the time. So, if something happened to Grammie I probably wouldn’t hear about it until they put her in the ground. *sighs* buttheads…*mumbles* not gonna get myself worked up…I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. Today we are going to be grilling out and having a couple friends over- nothing special- just a small get together. Take care! ~Bright Blessings~Rea
