I think I've made it over the hump!!  YAY!!!   I've been able to eat some soft/solid food and it's doing good.   I'm still careful about what I eat but what I've choosen seems to set well.   So far I've broiled a hamburger patty (medium so it's not so dry) and ate about 1/2 of it with some mild salsa on top.   I made a small pot of what I call "Refridgerater Beans"... basically threw leftovers in a pot with some white beans (in this case it was ground beef, onions, a can of diced/peeled tomatos and spices to whatever taste you like), and it tasted soooooo good and had a lot of protein with the beans.    My favorite so far, and what I had for lunch yesterday was some tuna w/mayo on Wheat thins (fat free).   I was able to eat about 10 crackers with tuna on them.  It's always been one of my favorite snacks, but now I can look at it as a meal.   I've also started adding Oyster Crackers to some of my creamed soups or just eat them plain as a snack when I feel like I need to nibble on something.   I think the best thing about this is being able to CHEW... I know it probably sounds crazy, but I really missed chewing.. lolIt's taken a while, but with the help of my wonderful family, friends, and my new friends here on DS I'm starting to get there with my eating.   Cindy
