I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!    I seem to be doing a little better since my last EGD last week.   I'm still scared to try a lot of new things, but I think it's more physcological than anything.... mostly because I'm afraid and tired of being sick to my stomach.   But I know I have to get past this and start forcing myself to eat or my body is just going to shut down on me.    Yesterday for Thanksgiving, while everyone was enjoying turkey and all the trimmings, I ate a bowl of Tomato soup.   I was afraid of eating something that wouldn't agree with me and getting sick and ruining everyone elses Thanksgiving dinner.   I was okay with it and did well, I had no desire for the rest of the stuff.   But at least I was able to sit at the table and enjoy my family (my niece was home from Iraq) and give thanks and feel good.   That's what Thanksgiving is all about anyway... not the food.   I did eat a couple of Saltine crackers later in the evening and they tasted soooooo good and stayed down.  This morning I ate pretty well.  I fixed myself some Cream of Wheat and was able to eat about 4 tablespoons full before I felt full.  I think that's the most I've eaten, at one time, in weeks. And Brenda, if you read this, THANK YOU!   My best friend, my "sister", I love you for all the support that you've given me and for the special person that you are.    My talk with David this morning was encouraging and I couldn't thank you more for having him call me.  Love you all,Cindy Starting weight:  383 lbs (surgery 8/15)Todays weight: 303 lbsTotal loss:  80 lbs
