Hi Gang, it's been a while. I've still been lurking here and seeing how everyone is doing but I haven't had a chance to write a journal entry. I'm busy at work 6 days a week again and it's keeping me pretty busy. In my last entry I explained that I had a blockage and had to go in for an endoscopy. Well, I had that done and so far things are not better. I'm still struggling with semi-solid foods. Just about anything I eat that is not pureed or liquid makes me sick. The doctor did explain to me that "most" of the time patients only need an endoscopy once and it will do the trick, but he has seen patients that need to have it done 2 or 3 times :-( So, it's back to the doc for me again next week. I did go to GNC last week to find some alternative ways to get all of my protein in. I bought a new chocolate flavored whey protein and I also found a drink called Isopure. Isopure comes in a lot of different flavors (I prefer the Alpine Punch), and is a great refreshing drink over ice. It's a 20oz bottle and has 40g of protein per bottle (0 fat, 0 sugar). I figure if I can drink one of these a day, for now, and I'm not only getting a majority of my protein, I'm getting 20ozs of my liquids. I'll warn you, it is expensive, I think $2.99 per bottle. But if I look back, that's a lot less than I was spending per day for lunches at fast food places prior to WLS. The good thing is the weight is still dropping off. I'm happy about that even though I'm frustrated with food. Starting weight: 383 (surgery 8/15)Todays weight: 321Total loss: 62 lbs (about 8 1/2 weeks post op)Hope everyone is doing well,Cindy
