Sunday 9th JanAfter the panic on Friday it all turned out OK. My therapist had said he wasn't sure he could carry on being my doctor because he thought that despite the state I got myself in, he wasn't expecting me to be asking for help but the opposite. For some reason he thought I was upset at being on my meds and was wanting to come off them.We went for 5 o'clock and we talked about what had happened the night before. I told him everything and he was so understanding. He agreed that the best thing to do now is to refer me to the local Eating Disorder unit in my area. Luckily it's actually one of their sister hospitals which comes under the Cygnet Hospitals, so at least I know their care is very good as I was in their care under the psychiatric hospital before. He's going to try and contact my GP on Monday but he's away for three weeks so he's going to see if anyone else in the surgery can help. He's also going to contact the ED unit and see what their bed availability is like. As I'll be going in under the NHS I might have to wait till April as we're at the end of the financial year and so are less likely to take on more patients. In April they get another lump sum and so I'll have more chance. I'll just have to wait and see. For now all I can do is try and eat enough to keep me from being hospitalized in a main hospital. Goal UpdateAlthough part of me is desperate to get to 6 stone...I know that I need to try and stay at my current weight until I get into this eating disorder unit. Then I can deal with putting on weight. Until then I'm working to maintain again between 6 stone 2 and 6 stone 4 (86 lbs - 88 lbs) as I'm currently at 6 stone 3 and still able to function OK.Eating is hard but I'm lucky that I live with my Mum. She is VERY understanding. She's making sure I eat enough but at the same time, isn't sitting me down to egg and chips lol. For example yesterday I had 1 1/2 weetabix for breakfast, a mug of tea, and for dinner 1 egg scrambled and low fat jelly after. She makes it easier to cope and it's obviously enough because I didn't lose weight. My Mum has always had problems with high blood pressure so we have a blood pressure monitor at home so I'm keeping an eye on that too as it's quite low. I get dizzy when I stand and I'm cold a lot of the time so I'm just taking it easy and keeping warm with a hot water bottle. Just doing the best I can to stay well while I wait for everything to be sorted out for me.
