Wednesday 5th MarchHavn't written a journal entry again for ages..sorry :SI'm not seeing my pdoc for another 3 weeks so I'm pretty much free at the moment. I've been out and about a bit more which has been nice. I went into the local shopping centre with my Mum and did a bit of retail therapy ;) and we're planning to go to Hobbycraft this Friday. Love it!I've just been keeping myself busy again really. Doing a lot of cooking and baking. I've been cooking the dinners every night for 6 nights now :) I've never cooked dinner before and at 20 yrs old, I really need to learn to cook. I've also done baking. I've made mince pies, jam tarts, cherry pies and yesterday I made rock cakes with cherries and chocolate chips in them. I'm also going to make my own Easter cakes which will be chocolate covered rice crispies and cornflakes with a mini egg on the top and I'm making my Nan a big chocolate cake with something like chocolate buttons and maybe soft chocolate bunnies or chicks depending on what I can find. She can't eat hard food so mini eggs are out. She does love her chocolate though and at 87 she can afford to eat what she wants!Today I'm going to get to work making Easter cards for my two friends who are away at Uni at the moment. They are coming home for Easter though so I'll get to see them soon :) I do miss them being away for so long. Especially as I can only visit when my illness allows me. At least if they were at home, as soon as I felt up to it I could go and visit them. I'll probably make them some cakes too, to take along when I visit. We'll all get together at the same time.My guinea pig is happy :) He's certainly living up to the name Manic, he bounces around his cage and does his little jumps which is when a guinea pig is in high spirits, it's called 'popcorning'. I have him running around my room sometimes too but to be honest he doesn't really like it much. After about 10 mins he wants to go back in his cage lol. Mind you his cage his huge, he's quite a small guinea pig and he's not going to grow much bigger now so I don't think it matters too much. He has plenty of space to run around. As long as he can come out and stretch his legs now and again. He's also living up to his species...Guinea PIG, lol. He LOVES his fresh food! Broccoli is his favourite, then cucumber, and carrot. He likes greens but doesn't have them too often as it can give them a bad stomach. Now he's a bit older I'll start trying him with a bit of fruit too. Oh, and he HATES sprouts lol, I don't blame him!Food wise I'm doing...OK at the moment. Had a couple of not so tough days. Yesterday I coped with and today I feel ok so far. I've had original Oat So Simple for breakfast so I wont have lunch. Although I got a bit of a shock when I realised the total calorie content INCLUDING the milk, was not 98 calories which is what I thought it said on the box. It still worked out less than if I had had my weetabix though so that made me feel a bit better. When we went shopping Saturday I picked up two boxes of cakes from Iceland. One was Healthy Options Mini Eclairs...38 calories each!!! Could believe you could get a mini eclair that low! The other was a box of Weightwatchers Carrot Cake Slices, 77 calories each which is also great as they taste lovely and it's still got icing on the top. They both taste great! Oh yeah and I picked up a box of Special K Rasberry and Chocolate bars, 88 calories. Also Lovely! Goal UpdateAlthough my goal now is to lose weight. It didn't start of like this. I did make a goal to maintain. But then I started having problems with my eating again and basically, it's still going on. I want to lose weight at the moment and so I'm finding it difficult to eat, even though a part of me knows I should be.As I updated my goal for yesterday because I knew how much I would eat I wont update it again until tonight. I allowed myself to have one of my rock cakes yesterday which I baked which pushes my calorie intake to higher than it said. It ended up at 457.5. Which for eating a home baked cake, isn't too bad. Even after yesterday though it seems I've lost weight anyway which for me, is good.I'm still doing my crunches, leg exercises and squats which in total burns about 74 calories so I'm able to knock that off the calorie intake for that day as I do them at night. So at the moment things are going well, feeling quite good today too, not so tired.
