Hello again, I'm going to post a new poem I wrote. It's the most recent and you'll notice I had a slight change in themes due to the uplifted mood, hehe. It's calledNature's PerfectionEach blade of grass wakes at dawn, to the rising of the sun,It’s very own morning raincoat marks a new day has begun.Every flower starts to open, stretching it’s petals in relief,While an old neighbouring Oak tree sheds it’s very first leaf.A grasshopper leaps into sunlight to soak up some summer rays,And begins it’s shrill chirrups in the early morning haze.Orange and black spots appear to dance across the sky,Butterflies join the meadow’s colours but then hide, remaining shy.Glistening in the rising sun a spiders web is hard to see,It’s very own work of art, hangs loosely in the tree. This is it’s source of food and life, this delicate net of silk,As crucial as a newborn puppy’s need for the mother’s very first milk. The striking colours of the Goldfinch are strong against nature’s greens,Their delightful twitter adds to the songbird‘s chorus amongst the trees.Carefully hopping between the thistles, pecking at some dandelion seeds,Then hopping down onto the floor to get a drink from the leaves. Two bright black eyes from a burrow slowly appear,Fleeting glances in every direction before they quickly disappear,Then two brown tufts of fur emerge, two ears and then a nose,Bright white tails bob across the grass and out come two young does.A thicket reveals another pair of eyes, long lashes blink the sleep away,Spindly legs take their first nervous steps out to begin the day,The fawn stays close to it’s Mother for safety and protection,The meadow’s abundance of wildlife completes natures perfection. When you look out your window today, as the sun rises in the early morn,Take the time to contemplate all the new life that has been born. Each plant and animal live hand in hand, day, both predator and prey,So take the time to experience life each and every day.x-Bliss-x
