I had my pdoc appointment today and basically just broke down in front of him. I explained everything as best I could about the bad nights, the intrusive thoughts, that fact that I feel like I'm going crazy. The thoughts that don't feel like my own. Everything. Luckily my Mum comes into my pdoc appointments with me as I don't hide things from her. She was able to help me out with explaining how things have been. Good job too because I was a mess when I came out. In the end my pdoc has decided that he would like to get a second opinion on my case. He said there are too many things that just arn't making sense and he wants a fresh pair of eyes. I was really upset that he wasn't able to give me any answers. In a way I know he didn't mean to but it's made me more frightened and out of control. He's been a pdoc for 25 years and yet he said he is bewildered by my symptoms. I've left it completely up to him to try and explain things for me as I don't want to put ideas in his head that could lead him down the wrong path. I still can't quite believe this is happening. When we first heard about this particular doctor we'd also heard from various other consultant pdocs that if they were dx Bipolar, they would want him treating them. For the time being I've been put back on the Mirtazapine at 7.5 mg along with the prozac to see if that will help at all, at least with the sleep of a night.Anyway that's all for now. I'm shattered as I've been upset for most of the afternoon/evening so I'm taking my tablets early tonight and going to settle down into my bed.Thank you for your supportive comments and for those who have sent me messages I will try and reply back tomorrow. Thanks.x-Bliss-x

My dear, I know you feel as though if he can\'t fix you then perhaps no one can type of thing, but in all honestly, its as he said, a FRESH pair of eyes. Sometimes new types of diseases and/or problems show up in mental and phy history...yours may be newer than what he knows...give it time sweetie...i\'m sure he\'ll figure out whats going on. My prayers are with you.

Try not to worry too much. He sounds like a great pdoc who does not want to jump to conclusions. It sounds like he wants to make sure he has the right diagnosis. Just keep taking your meds, get some rest and it will al work out.
