I thought now would be a good time to post another poem. Enjoy.Ghost ChildA few months back on a cold winter night,Suddenly awoken by a sobre moan,Squinting in the darkness I saw a faint light,And realised I was not alone.I was always adament ghost stories were lies,It's just a continuation of a fitful nightmare,A pinch, a blink and a rub of the eyes,But no, the ghostly figure's still there.Clearer now as my eyes adjust to the eerie darkness,It's a young girl around eleven years,Hands clasped around a teddy she looks so helpless,And her eyes are full of tears.Slowly I sit up but too scared to speak,And I watch as she cradles her bear,Then she raises her head, and our eyes meet,But there's no emotion just a vacant stare.Voice trembling, I choke and stutter on my sentence,"What do you want?" I manage to say,She tilts her head and says "Do you know my parents?"I shake my head and she looks away."I'll keep looking until I find them, I have to you see""I need to say sorry for being bad.""They told me to keep my seatbelt buckled around me,""But I didn't listen and now I've made them sad."With a lump in my throat I sit quite and listen,The fear is no longer there,She tells me of how she now lives in heaven,But it's simply too much to bare. She tells me of how she can do as she pleases,But what fun is it when your on your own,All she wants is her cuddles and kisses,And to feel like she's no longer alone.Tears falling I reach out to take her hand in mine,As I try to comfort the lost spirit,But my hand passes through her with an ice chill down my spine,Surprised, I quickly withdrew it.Saddened now she drifts slowly towards the doorway,Her bright figure weakening quickly,"I'm sure I'll find Mummy and Daddy someday"And with those words her sillhouette fades completely.x-Bliss-x

wow, thats so beautiful, youre an incredibly talented writer
cool, I like this - it holds you and you write as if you place the reader there with that little girl (maybe a methaphor for someone looking for a nurthering parental protector who loves you?)
Boy, are you a talented poet. I really liked this poem.
