Hello!
So here is my first entry for my blog. I'm going to try and keep this updated but I'm not usually very good with keeping blogs or diaries going. I have another account on Live Journal so I will probably copy and paste from there.
I suppose I should give a little background otherwise you'll be lost from the start (if your going to read that is)
So as you can see on my profile I'm 19. I live with my Mum and my brother and a few pets. 2 Dogs Poppy (7) and Coco (1), a budgie (sky) and 2 Rats (Bubble and Squeak). I left high school with 12 GCSE's and went straight into veterinary nursing which I had always wanted to do.
I completed my first year of college whilst working at a vets and went on to pass my second year exams too. Unfortunately before I could take my last practical exam I became ill and have not been able to work since. I miss my job so much but I can't go back unless I get better.
So since Dec of last year I have not been at work. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. An lifelong illness which causes depression and mania (highs). It's been an up and down rollercoaster all the way and I'm still not stable yet. I suffer with the Depression side mostly and have been hospitalised once. To make things more complicated I also seem to have treatment resistant depression which means that it's hard to find medication that works AND keeps on working.
So that sums up where I'm up to so far really. I'm not sure where I will go from here. I still want to return to work but at the moment I just have to take each day as it comes.
In my interests I have mentioned I do quite a bit of Art in my spare time and I have posted some of my artwork in an album in my pictures so feel free to take a look and comment if you wish.
In my spare time I also play electric and acoustic guitar and piano, and I've recently become slightly addicted to my Nintendo DS
 playing Pokemon Pearl.
At the moment I'm not doing too well. I'm waiting for my therapist to come back from holiday and I'll be going back to see him.
Anyway I think that's enough for now. Hopefully I'll keep this going as I know some people on here.
Take care!

As for the journal, I do the same thing. I have journalling software that I use and copy and paste my journal at the end of each day. That way you can also edit or not include some things if you want to.
I\'m sorry that you are struggling but I know all about that. Unfortunately, finding the right med\'s is not as easy as they make it sound. I have been treated for Depression/BP/Anxiety since about 2003 and it took quite awhile to get the right meds. I finally have the right meds, but I also suffer from Agoraphobia (afraid to leave the house), so I haven\'t worked for several years.
Keep strong and it will all work out, just be patient.
