UPDATE
UPDATE: Well, the MRI results from the ER are horrible! The ER doc was obviously clueless when he looked at the MRI. Is smaller and not an issue MY ASS! I just read them and started to cry. In April my syrinx was C-4 to T-1 and 1.5 mm in diameter, June it was C-2 to T-6 and 2.5 mm in diameter, August 30 C-2 to at least T-6 and 9 mm in diameter. I guess it's a good thing I'm going to see my NS on October 12. Just a little scary to think about and I'm scared even more now.
I have 3 young kids that need me, my husband is a truck driver and is gone most of the week, I'm the PTO president and a den leader in cub scouts and do not have the heart to let anyone down. I do not have time for this disease, disorder, problem, whatever the hell it is to take over my life. Not even for a moment. I'm upset because I do not want to leave my kids with a mom that can't physically be there for them, because my husband and I have always been active and still have so much we want to do. My kids have gone through so much in their short lives. They were subjected to drugs and alcohol while in womb, an alcoholic, abusive, negligent mother that just walked away from them at the ages of 4, 2, and 10 mo old. I've only been their mom for the past 2 years and for the past year I've been sick the majority of the time. They don't deserve this. I've always wanted to be the mom that was at the school helping out, that was the proud scout mom, had successful students, that could go to all of their events and support them in every endeavor that they dare. April 30-Aug30 is only 4 months and my syrinx grew this much! How well will any surgery work and for how long? The only reason my husband took this job was so that I could stay home to be the mom that I always wanted, but now I wish he was home more. I know he wishes too, but he's a great man, husband, father, and provider.
I better go and spend some time with him before he has to leave. I guess I'll know more on the 12th.
