Help!
Ok. Tonight is trigger at 9:30 pm. When the clinic called with my instructions I wasn't able to write anything down (getting a pedi) and I thought I could remember everything. Foolish me! I can't remember how many cc's of diluant to add to my hcg. How much did you guys use?
Also, it looks like I'm only going to get 1 or 2 eggs, 3 at the most. Should I cancel?! The embries have to make it to day 5, then are biopsied and only healthy ones transfered. We are doing IVF with PGD in order to conceive a healthy child. My eggs are often sick. Maybe I should save the money (close to $3000) for the PGD. But this is the third time I've gotten this far and I never have more than 4 eggs. I'm so torn. So far I have had one healthy baby (without IVF) and one healthy embryo that didn't implant plus 6 miscarriages and 3 sickly embryos. So what are my odds? The clinic is closed. I'm so anxious.

If I remember correctly, the proper amount of dilutant comes in the vial so you don\'t actually have to think about it. There are 2 vials. Suck up all the liquid with the syringe, then put it all in the other vial with the power; swirl it around so it mixes well, then suck it all back up with the syringe and give it to yourself.
I don\'t know what to advise you re going forward or not. If you\'ve never had more than 4 eggs before, then 3 sounds reasonable to me. For pgd, I suspect they are biopsied on day 3 and transferred on day 5 if the results are good. If they biopsied them on day 5 they would have to freeze them while waiting for the results, and you\'d have to transfer next cycle.
I hope you get a healthy embie!!! Good luck!
erin, im so sorry this is so stressful. i took a pre-filled needle for trigger so i cant help there. have you tried googling yet?
as far as canceling, does your DH have an opinion? I guess if you usuallly only get 4, i think 3 seems reasonable too. it might work! i think it if were me i would feel its work risking wasting 3k, than having to spend a lot more on a whole other cycle that may not have been necessary. ill pray that you have wisdom, and of course for SUCCESS!!! xoxoxoxox
Erin, my syringe was pre filled...sorry I can\'t help you with that, but I only had 2 embryos and we implanted both..Remember it only takes 1!!!!!
I know it must be hard but if the best you did was 4, 3 sounds good. I do natural IVF so I only get one, two if both sides decide to go on the same cycle. I\'ll really be praying for you.
I would have called your RE. Mine always calls back if you leave a message. Good luck I hope you were able to find out.
As far the PGD, I did that with 4 embies. They had to survive to day 5 they did the biopsy on day 5 then transferred on day 6. I ended up with 1 healthy embie that stuck. Best of luck to you.
