What do I want?   I want a marriage; in which two people are truly striving to make it work, where there is mutual passion, trust, friendship, respect, encouragement, openness, no secrets, communication, affection, admiration towards each other, understanding, no games, respect for each other’s differences, inclusiveness not exclusiveness, fun with each other, willing to try activities of the others interests, who work together.  I want a family that; is intact, that treat each other with respect, where is love, who can have fun together, where there is common pride, respect for each other’s differences, help each other when in need, help out around  the house.  I want; to continue my self-discovery, not to worry about financial matters, a house that is organized, a life that does not seem so chaotic, able to send my kids to college, a house without a mortgage, no car payments, security in marriage, job security, good health for my family and myself, to be happy, not to be judged, to be myself, a better relationship with my Mother and Brother.  I have been thinking of some of this the past week and more. What do I have now of the things I want? In my current situation, do I see myself having any of this soon? What are the most important of the things I want? What can I live without and what is it I truly need. What is best to stay married or divorce? How much is it really me that effects my wife or is it her evaluating her life and not happy with where she is at this point in her life with job, family, money, health,  herself?

I can totally relate. I want the same things. I don\'t have any children but, I wish I had them. When I read this it made me cry. It put so many things into perspective. It made me really realize how bad my situation is. I know I need to make some drastic changes in my life. Thanks for writing this.

Love and Hugs,

Lisa

You need to focus on you right now take care of yourself and your children. this is the only way you will be able to see a clear path of what you want. you may find out you dont want to be married. I go through each day saying and beliving that myself and stbx are 2 good people that didnt grow together and dont make a great team. It helps me get through each day.

Sorry to kind of bubble in out of the blue- I came across your page from a friend of mine\'s~ I just wanted to say that this journal is really well thought out and about. Those are extremely difficult but incredibly important questions you have!

I wish I had come in a little earlier, but your entry made me ask a couple of questions to myself- Bottom Line-- Do I love my spouse? Am I willing to accept my own flaws as well as my spouses, to recommit myself and rededicate my love to this person? Most importantly- How will our decisions impact our children?

Again, I apologize, I feel like I\'m kind of sticking my neck out where I don\'t quite belong.. but I was just thinking back to my own parent\'s divorce when I was a teenager~

*hugs*

Wow I like this relationship to do list...Sign me up for one of those too!

Seriously, make a list of what you want.
Focus your thoughts attention and feeling on that list. You have the power to manifest. Maybe not with who you wish but hey...if you get your list....I\'m sure you will be happpy with the partner.

Love ya, m lou
