It's been a while!!
It's been a long time since I've been on DS. I'm glad to be back though. A lot has happened since I've been away, some bad some good, but I've managed to make it through, so I'm thankful for that. I finally ended my friendship with Patrick about 2 years ago in 2013. It's best that I never speak to him again let alone associate with him. Good riddance to bad rubbish as they say lol.
So, anyway things are looking up for me. I started a new job in October of last year and I love it! I'm working as a dishwasher in the Bistro at Kroger. It's great, my coworkers are real friendly and helpful, and they don't really gossip as much as at my old job at Ruby Tuesday.
I'm back in touch with Heather, one of my best friends. We stopped talking during the time I was friends with Patrick and I regret that. But, I'm just so thankful that she's taken me back into her life, she's always been a great friend. I've also made some new friends since I've last posted a journal entry on here. There's my new friend Steven who was my neighbor when I moved out of my Mom's house 2 years ago, and we've gotten pretty close, and my new friend Angie who I met through my friend Dave and got to get to know her more when we ran into each other at the hospital. She's awesome I love her.
Things are good at home now, I moved back in with my Mom and sister. My dad lives here too but he's mostly out at sea. 2 years ago my mom found out that he had been cheating on her for as far as we know the last 5 years. I moved back in to be here for my mom and help her cope with this. I'm glad I moved back in 'cause I missed her a lot. I haven't spoken to my dad since he last left to go overseas. I really don't know if I even want to talk to him. I'm still angry with him. Mom's always been faithful and loving to him and me and my sisters. I still can't believe it happened. He was the last person I thought would do that to mom, but at the same time I've had my suspicions.
Anyway... I started painting in 2013, and have a few paintings left from that year that I didn't end up giving away or selling. I've worked on a couple more, and have some that are still works in progress. I've also made a couple songs on the computer that sound pretty awesome.
I've been thinking about going back to school. But, not just yet. I wanna make sure that I'm situated and comfortable at work and adjusted to my work schedule before I go back to school. I've been helping Steven with some of his school work though, and it's helped me by making me remember how much I love school. We were texting earlier and he said some really nice things to me about myself. It was a pretty deep conversation, I think the deepest we've gone in a while.
I'll be 31 this year. I'm at the point now where I don't really want to party on my birthdays, or at all really. I just like staying at home, or hanging out with one or two friends at a time and have meaningful conversation and play video games and stuff like that. I like my handful of friends.
I should really get back to writing this discussion post assignment that I'm helping Steven with, but I kinda needed a break from writing it. It's due today by 11:59pm. uggh I think I'll take a mini nap first though.
Ok well if you've read this far, thanks for reading! I'm gonna take a nap then get back to the school assignment in a few. Take care everyone!
