I have started to accept my body. I put on a little weight (5-8 lbs) during college. At first I was upset about it but all I have heard since coming back home is how great I look. I know that real guys don't want stick thin girls they want someone who looks like a real person. I also know that I'm not fat by any means compared to the average woman. But for some reason I kind of miss being upset over my body. Sometimes I even find myself missing being anorexic. I don't know. I mean its great that I don't look in the mirror and get upset and that I have more confidence. I guess its just weird because all I can remember is hating my body and thinking I'm fat. Also, I'm scared that if I accept my body the way it is I won't control my eating and exercising and I will just keep gaining weight.

It\'s a control issue.
I am so glad to hear that you finally accept your body. I\'m proud of you. I think you miss the anorexia because it was always there for you when you were having a rough time. Now that you don\'t need it anymore, you are at a loss because you no longer have that familiarity you had with it. I think that you accept your body and you\'ll have a healthy relationship with food. It will just take lots of support.
