I feel bad for even writing about this but I don't have anyone to talk to about it.  I really like my roommate.  We are good friends and get along great but I feel like I'm not good enough for her.  Ever since she got her boyfriend she is either talking to him on the phone or online CONSTANTLY.  At least 3-4 hours a day.  When she isn't talking to him she is talking to her mom or her other friends from back home.  Whenever she is in the dorm she is either on the phone or on AIM.  I know that I just met her 9 months ago but 4 of the girls in our sweet (her included) really hit it off.  We were always hanging out together.  Ever since I was hospitalized and then later when I cut myself badly while she was here she hasn't really hung out with me.  She always picks talking to her other friends over me.  Whenever I try to talk to her she sounds really distracted.  I don't understand what I did.  I know that living with someone with depression can be scary but I don't even cut anymore and most of the time I'm fine or at least pretend to be fine.  One of her best friends from home is depressed and has attempted suicide twice and my roommate is still friends with her.  I guess I'm just jealous and hurt.  I feel like she thinks I'm boring or inferior or annoying.

I totally understand what you mean. For the longest, my best friend did that with me. When I told her I was bulimic and cut, she stopped talking to me and said she was always busy. We talked but it wasn\'t like it used to be. After a while I wrote her a letter and asked what I had done wrong. That\'s when she told me. She said she didn\'t know how to react to what I had told her. She said she loved me and wanted to help me but didn\'t know how. She said she was scared she would say something and trigger some weird feelings for me. So I told her I loved her and nothing she said would cause me to do anything. I think you should try a letter. Tell her that you miss the time you used to spend with her. If that doesn\'t work, then let me know and we can try to figure out something.
