Vacations are so weird.  I have a lot of trouble realizing that they are real life.  I always feel like I put real life on hold and I'm just floating somewhere in a sort of alternate universe.  Then when the vacation is over it feels like the whole thing never happened...like it was all just a dream.  I don't know if this is normal or not.   Sometimes I worry about my grip on reality.  Sometimes I feel like life in like flipping between photographs.  Nothing really ever connects.  Every time I switch locations or activities its like I'm in a new picture. Like I just exist in different settings that don't really have anything to do with each other.  Its hard to explain.  I guess viewing life this way helps me keep my depression in check.  Its hard to worry about the future or about fast events if time doesn't feel linear. I sound crazy....

I\'ve had some days like that too. What is really weird is those days that feel like you have done that exact day before (dj vu). I feel like everything has been done exactly the same way or the events are happening in the same way.

What it sounds like is Depersonalization. (I copied this from a link)
Depersonalization is a symptom of an anxiety disorder and not a stand alone condition. How do we know this? Because depersonalization cannot exist without anxiety BUT anxiety can exist without depersonalization. Depersonalization is caused by a shift in the part of the brain that provides us with a \'real\' awareness of our environment; this part of the brain is directly linked to the Amygdala, the organ in the brain responsible for anxiety.
Here is the link.........it sounds like what is happening to you
