Tuesday, September 11, 2007Dear Jo,It's 9:48pm and I was just reading some of the profiles in this site and I suddenly got very aggravated. Ya know, they set up these type of websites for those out there who are really very sick and need such urgent medical and emotional care and attention. Meanwhile, there are some people on this site who are perfectly healthy and they're just looking to meet someone to "hook up." What kind of shit is that?!!!! That is really messed up and unfair to those of us who are actually suffering and not looking for a "good time."

OK, I am NOT very sick but I do have diabetes - no cure known, high BP (caused by meds given for diabetes), arthritis - only band-aid solutions and pain management for that, chronic headaches - no known cause, and back pain due to an old break when a child. I don\'t look sick. I don\'t need urgent medical care or attention. Does that mean that I don\'t qualify to be here? I do realize that there are some here on the site who are just here to, as you say, hook up, or get some sort of perverse satisfaction from being around sick people but I think that is the minority and all you have to do is check them out and ignore them if they look like they aren\'t genuine.
So I will leave it up to you. Can I qualify?
PS I am happily married and am certainly NOT looking for any involvements apart from friends to talk to about anything and everything.
