Is it terrible that I wish my mother in law would stop cooking?

I know she lives here too, and that she has to feed her youngest two children. I'm aware of that. But it's still frustrating to me. I've lost nearly 45 pounds in the last year, and I've done it through dietary changes and learning about food. Hardly any of that weightloss can be attributed to exercise. I know food, and my husband has informed me that my cooking is actually better than hers.

Earlier this week, I was going to make the fajita filling my husband likes so much for lunch, only to have her announce that she was going to make lasagna. Which meant that there was literally no purpose in making the fajita mix, because my husband would eat the lasagna. He's told me that's his favorite food.

I would really like to feed my husband. And I would like to feed him healthy food. I feel like she's doing my job, and it rankles. It rankles because he's my husband, and I'm supposed to be taking care of him now, not his mother. And it also bothers me because she's not feeding anyone very well, including herself. She buys junk at the store, makes food out of low-quality, high-calorie, dangerous-chemical-laden ingredients, and then everyone eats it. I feel like she's slowly poisoning her own family, and herself. She can do what she wants to her family, but I'd like to do better for mine.

I really just...want to run my own house. Take care of my own family. Feed my husband the high-quality food he deserves, and not feel like I'm competing with a junk-food addict.
